Hey there friends,

If there’s one side dish that brings everyone around the table, it’s a big bowl of creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Here at Alexiou Farms, we grow potatoes that are just begging to be whipped into this cozy, comforting dish.

Whether it’s for Sunday supper, a holiday feast, or a simple weeknight dinner, mashed potatoes are a staple in our home—and when you add a touch of roasted garlic? Well, that’s next-level goodness right there.

I’m excited to share this simple recipe with you, straight from our kitchen to yours.

What You’ll Need:
  • 2 lbs Alexiou Farms potatoes (Yukon Golds or Russets work great)

  • 4-5 cloves garlic, peeled

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup milk or cream (warm)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: fresh chives or parsley for garnish

How To Make ‘Em:

Prep & Boil:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks (about 1-2 inches).

Add to a large pot of cold, salted water.

Toss in the garlic cloves.

Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are fork-tender (about 15-20 minutes).

Drain & Mash:

Drain the potatoes and garlic well.

Return to the pot or a large bowl.

Add butter and a good splash of warm milk or cream.

Mash by hand or use a hand mixer for extra creamy potatoes.

Season & Serve:

Season generously with salt and pepper.

Adjust the creaminess by adding more milk as needed.

Top with a pat of butter and a sprinkle of fresh herbs if you like.

Farmer’s Notes:
  1. Using fresh Alexiou Farms potatoes makes a world of difference—creamy and full of flavour.

  2. For even more flavour, try roasting the garlic first before adding it to your mash.

  3. Don’t skip warming the milk—it helps the potatoes stay fluffy and light.

  4. These pair perfectly with just about anything—roast chicken, grilled steak, or even on their own!
