There’s something about a simple baked potato that never goes out of style—and when you load it up with all your favourite fixings? Well, now you’ve got yourself a meal! Around here at Alexiou Farms, baked potatoes are a go-to comfort food, especially after a long day working in the fields.

Our potatoes are grown with care and packed full of flavour, making them the perfect choice for this hearty dish. Whether you’re feeding a crowd or just making a cozy supper for one, Fully Loaded Baked Potatoes always hit the spot.

Let’s get cookin’!

What You’ll Need:
  • 4 large Alexiou Farms baking potatoes

  • Olive oil or melted butter

  • Coarse salt

  • Toppings (customize to your liking!):

  • Sour cream

  • Shredded cheddar cheese

  • Crispy bacon bits

  • Green onions or chives

  • Steamed broccoli

  • Sauteed mushrooms

  • Pulled pork or chili for a heartier option

  • Salt & pepper to taste

How To Make ‘Em:

Prep Your Spuds:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Scrub the potatoes well (our farm-fresh taters love to be eaten with their skins on!).

Pat dry, rub with olive oil or butter, and sprinkle with coarse salt.

Bake:

Place potatoes directly on the oven rack (with a tray below to catch any drips).

Bake for 45-60 minutes, depending on size, until the skin is crispy and the inside is soft. Test by inserting a fork—it should slide in easily.

Load ‘Em Up:

Carefully cut a slit in the top of each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.

Now comes the fun part—pile on your favourite toppings! Whether you go classic (butter, sour cream, bacon, cheese) or get creative (chili, pulled pork, veggies), there’s no wrong way to load a baked potato.

Dig In & Enjoy!

Serve hot, and watch your family and friends come back for seconds.

Farmer’s Notes:
  1. The key to a great baked potato is using good-quality, starchy spuds—we happen to know a place 😉.

  2. These are great for meal prep too—bake a batch and reheat during the week.

  3. Hosting a gathering? Set up a Baked Potato Bar with a spread of toppings and let everyone build their own!
